These Terms of Service are between you and MAVOS Company Limited, a company established in Vietnam, for the public Envi software, account, website, support, and related services. The Store or channel through which you obtain Envi may impose additional terms. If mandatory consumer law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, those rights continue to apply.
1. Public-release status
Envi is not currently offered as a signed public download or Paid subscription. Product descriptions, planned service tiers, release targets, and pre-release pages can change before launch. These terms become binding only after MAVOS publishes an effective date and you download, access, or use a public Envi release.
2. Your Envi Account
A public Envi plan requires an Envi Account authenticated through Google or Apple. A successful provider sign-in verifies that provider identity. You are responsible for access to the identity-provider account and device used to sign in.
Each Google or Apple identity is a separate Envi Account, even when email addresses match. Envi v1 does not link, unlink, merge, transfer, or recover identities between providers. Do not share an Envi session or attempt to use another person's account.
MAVOS may suspend or disable access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, providers, or legal compliance, including suspected credential abuse, quota evasion, attacks, or prohibited use.
3. License
For a public Envi release obtained from an authorized channel, MAVOS grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the software on supported devices for lawful purposes under these terms and the applicable Store rules.
The license does not transfer ownership. Except where applicable law or an open-source license expressly permits it, you may not sell, sublicense, rent, distribute, bypass access controls, interfere with service limits, extract credentials, or use Envi to attack a system or person.
Separate open-source components remain governed by their own licenses and notices.
4. Translation and voice services
Envi sends active selected text and language settings to the Envi backend and the official provider chosen for the request. Translation requires an internet connection and can be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Progressive output can change while a response is arriving.
Do not rely on Envi as the sole source for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, emergency, or other high-stakes decisions. Review important translations with a qualified person.
The provider route depends on service tier, request type, language configuration, and voice choice. Envi does not silently resend the same request to another provider after a provider failure. The Privacy Notice explains the routes and data handling.
5. Free Tier and Paid Tier
Free Tier is planned to include a funded monthly translation allowance and System Voice. It does not include Dictionary. Allowances can be expressed in units or requests, can reset, and can change prospectively with reasonable notice before the next period.
Paid Tier is planned to add the published Paid translation routes, eligible Dictionary results, and optional Google Cloud Paid Voice. Paid Tier is not available until MAVOS publishes pricing, supported countries, billing terms, and an authorized purchase path.
The Envi backend is authoritative for service tier, quota, and provider authorization. A tier shown from cached desktop state does not grant provider access. If Envi cannot verify current authorization, new provider work stops safely.
Usage is admitted and charged before provider execution so Envi can enforce a bounded allowance. A charged unit or request can remain consumed if the provider later fails or if the client cancels after admission. Envi does not automatically retry the same text through a different provider.
6. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds
When Paid Tier becomes available, the purchase screen will identify the seller, billing source, price, currency, billing period, renewal terms, and management destination before confirmation.
Mac App Store purchases are planned to be managed by Apple. Publisher-hosted Windows and web subscriptions are planned to be managed by a contracted merchant of record. Snap purchase and recognition of a Paid Tier bought elsewhere will remain unavailable unless Canonical approves the exact flow.
Cancellation, refund, renewal, tax invoice, chargeback, and payment support follow the rules of the billing source and mandatory law. Deleting an Envi Account does not cancel Store or merchant billing. Cancel billing separately before deleting the account if you do not want it to renew.
7. Your content and privacy
You keep your rights in text you select. You give MAVOS and the selected service providers only the limited permission needed to transmit, process, translate, pronounce, secure, and return that request.
You are responsible for having permission to submit the text. Do not use Envi to process content when doing so would violate law, confidentiality, employment duties, contractual restrictions, or another person's rights.
The Privacy Notice explains what MAVOS and providers process, what MAVOS stores, retention, international processing, and account deletion.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Envi unlawfully or to facilitate harm, harassment, fraud, exploitation, or rights violations;
- probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, automate around, or bypass Envi security, quotas, entitlements, or provider controls;
- introduce malware or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or credentials;
- misrepresent an Envi output as verified professional advice; or
- use the service in a way that would cause MAVOS to violate a provider or Store agreement.
9. Third-party services and Stores
Google, Microsoft, Apple, GitHub, Stores, the operating system, and a future billing provider operate services Envi depends on. Their terms and privacy notices apply to their services. MAVOS does not control their availability, account decisions, operating-system behavior, or Store review.
An authorized Store can update, suspend, remove, or limit distribution under its own rules. Features can differ by operating system and channel because of security and Store requirements.
10. Changes, availability, and termination
MAVOS may update Envi to improve functionality, security, compatibility, legal compliance, provider routing, quotas, or Store requirements. Material service or term changes will be published with an updated date and any notice required by applicable law.
You can stop using Envi, sign out, uninstall it, or delete the Envi Account. MAVOS can discontinue a feature or service, but will provide notice where reasonably practical and honor mandatory purchase and consumer obligations.
Account deletion is permanent for Envi product access and does not restore preferences, usage, entitlement bindings, or history if you later create a new account. Read Delete your Envi Account.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Envi is provided on an "as available" basis. MAVOS does not promise that translation is error-free, that every application can expose selected text, that every provider is continuously available, or that a feature approved on one platform is available on another.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that applicable law does not allow MAVOS to exclude.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MAVOS is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from Envi, including loss caused by an inaccurate translation, unavailable provider, unsupported application, or content you were not permitted to submit.
Any monetary liability cap, paid-service remedy, and jurisdiction-specific consumer wording must be approved and published before Paid Tier is offered. This pre-release text does not attempt to waive non-excludable rights.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, contact MAVOS and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the concern. The competent courts and procedures are determined by applicable law and the final launch terms.
14. Contact
Until MAVOS domain mailboxes are activated, contact willnguyen.services@gmail.com with the subject Envi Terms. Do not send passwords, session credentials, payment-card data, or confidential selected text.
